With the development of accounting software, you may wonder why you still need an accountant. But accountants, bookkeepers and tax advisers are developing too!  Producing accounts and tax returns are something we still do, but we now bring together a wealth of knowledge and information to help you run your business and plan for the future.  Staying in contact with and working with your accountant could be the best business decision you make!

To make life easier and enable you to budget, I offer fixed price accounting packages.  However, one size doesn’t fit all, so give me a call to discuss your business needs and to build a bespoke package to suit your requirements.

Bookkeeping

This is important for most businesses.  You should see an accountant before or shortly after starting in business, just to get the paperwork in place and know what you need to do and keep.  Sometimes this is just a spreadsheet you can manage yourself, other times it will be accounting software and monthly reconciliations that will be required.

Accountancy

This is end of year accounts or maybe monthly/quarterly accounts to keep track of your business.  

Tax support

Tax comes in all shapes and sizes! Maybe personal tax, your self assessment return, your company corporation tax return!  But tax doesn’t stop there, you need to watch out for Capital Gains Tax, VAT, CIS or even inheritance tax. Personal or corporate tax, all things are covered.

Payroll

I can process your weekly, monthly or ad hoc payrolls, Year-end returns, RTI and auto-enrolment, all the things that you need to think about when you run a business.  From set up to monthly and annual processing.

Business advice

Perhaps sometime you just need a different view on things.  From, is it better to buy or lease a car, to should I start my own limited company?  Just someone to talk to, who is happy to listen.  The best business decisions come from a collaboration, of knowing where you want to be and a plan on now to get there.

Training

Need some help understanding your new accounting package? I primarily work with Xero, but all good bookkeepers have more than one package to their name.  If you are having difficulty with Xero, Quickbooks, Sage or Freeagent, give me a call.
